The beachfront Maui Sunset resort in Kihei is on the sunny side of Maui, where the world's best sunsets rule the island.
Our sunny & spacious ground floor 1 bedroom, 2 bath condo in Bldg. A is tastefully furnished, comfortable and newly renovated. Bldg A is the sunnier of the two buildings on the property. You have direct access from the lanai to the beach, gardens, large pool, BBQ area and tropical fountain. Very convenient! Sleeps up to 4 with queen bed, full size sofa bed, and full-size futon. Air conditioned and also has ceiling fans. Children can play directly in the garden straight out from the lanai or swim in the large pool. Relax by the pool (located Oceanside), meditate by the tropical fountain or have meals on the lanai and a picnic on the beach...or venture out to nearby world-class beaches in Kihei, Wailea & Makena.
We have a beach cooler, umbrella and boogy board for your use at the beach. We provide a fully equipped kitchen or cook your meals on the BBQ grills that are maintained daily by the resort.
Reasonable and also upscale restaurants offering local and four-star cuisine are nearby. The town of Wailea with upscale shopping is just 8 minutes away by car.
The resort is on five acres of beautifully landscaped oceanfront/beachfront property with flowering trees and local plants. The beach at Maui Sunset is the perfect spot to watch the sunset with windsurfers and kite surfers in the foreground when the winds pick up in the afternoon or try fishing in the early morning from the beach. From November through April, look for whales breaching in the ocean waters along the beach.
Many swimming and snorkeling beaches are minutes away at many sandy safe beaches in Kihei, nearby Wailea, and Makena as well as surfing and body surfing beaches. The modern Kihei Aquatic Center is a few minutes away and is free to the public. The center boasts an Olympic-size pool, 50 meter pool, and a kid's pool with wading fountain. A short distance away are three championship 18 hole golf courses.
Free resort amenities include: parking, shuffleboard, tennis courts, air conditioned fitness room with free weights and machines, sauna, large condo pool, jacuzzi, ice machine beside pool, activity hut staff is located poolside to make suggestions or help you plan tours and activities around Maui. Snorkeling rentals also available at activity hut.
